Screen Printing
Screen printed t-shirts can act as uniforms for contractors, landscapers, or casual restaurant workers. People can easily be identified as members or team members. Screen printed shirts can also be used to identify event staff or participants, or sports team members. They can also be used to commemorate family reunions, outings, or trips, and brightly colored screen printed shirts are especially helpful to identify small children in crowds.
Clarissa’s Logo Productions in Tucson can create screen printed garments for any occasion. When you need a personalized touch, we’re always here.
We’ve been serving clients on projects of all sizes since 1991. Every job is equally important to us. Whether you have a large embroidery project for your business merchandise or a small embroidery project for family gifts, you’ll receive the same high standard of service with us.
It Starts With Your Design
Most of our clients come to us with a prepared design they’d like to print on a few shirts. We use this design to create customized screen printed garments. While we prefer to work with designs that are ready to use, we do have a team that can assist you and advise you. We’ll let you know how your design will translate into screen printing.
How Does Screen Printing Work?
This process is repeated in layers until every color of the design has been applied. They combine to form the bigger picture.
After the ink dries, it’s set in place. The design becomes permanent and the shirt is ready to wash and wear.
We can screen print individual shirts, or we can screen print them in large batches. the process is the same for a single shirt as it is for 100 shirts – we simply move each shirt through each step simultaneously until they’re all complete.
Vinyl Shirt Printing/ Heat Transfer
Vinyl printing starts with a digital design. The design is printed with a normal printer onto a sheet of vinyl. The design is cut out of the vinyl, placed on the appropriate part of the shirt, and transferred using heat. The design is essentially melted onto the shirt. It isn’t going anywhere, and it stays vibrant for years.
Does it Have to Be a T-Shirt?
There may be some instances where vinyl printing is a much better option than screen printing. We recommend vinyl printing for any clothing that will be worn in an athletic context.
In some cases, embroidery may be a better option than screen printing or vinyl printing. Embroidery tends to hold up better on accessories like hats, and it’s a more appropriate choice for scout badges or team patches. If you’re not sure, ask us. We’re always here to explain the options and help you choose the customization method that will work best for your unique needs.

How to Care for Screen Printed or Vinyl Printed Garments
To wash your screen printed garments, turn them inside out. This prevents friction in the washer and dryer from the design rubbing up against other articles of clothing. Wash them in cool water with a gentle detergent on the gentlest washer setting. Tumble dry them on low.
The biggest enemy of printed garments is heat. When you wash them in very hot water or dry them on the hottest setting, you’re cooking the ink or vinyl on your shirt. If your child spills chocolate ice cream on their sports jersey, pre-treat the stain with stain remover before washing the garment. It will work more effectively than cranking the heat up in the washer, and it won’t damage the printing.
Your design will last for many years with proper care.
